Interesting scale

Initially, it sounds like you were hitting the wrong notes. I was clearly wrong, and it gives it a very unique and diverse sound. It almost sounds like something Nobuo Uematsu, the music producer for the Final Fantasy series, would make. And that's a damn good comparison in my book :)

Breed responds:

Thanks Nate, that's an awesome comparison! I actually ran into some dissonance within the harmony. What happened is I stuck strictly to a harmonic minor scale, which introduces accompaniment & lead harmony trouble with that raised 7th. At first I heard the dissonance and thought ewww I better just change the 7th, but the more I listened to it, the more I kinda liked it, so I ended up keeping it. I guess I had temp love as they call it, haha. Thanks for the review!

Cheers!

You have talent

You have done what most PRO hardstyler producers DO NOT do, and that is to make a unique hardstyle song! Most hardstyle sounds the same to me. This is unbelievable the originality you incorporated. It wasn't just the same as everyone else! One small complaint: The bassdrum I think didn't have enough punch, you know? That 4 to the floor snare playing along with the pitched bassdrum wasn't enough for me. I am more of a fan of DJ Zany's or Donkey Roller's kicks. But that's just personal preference I guess. Great mastering too.

Good luck!

Excellent

Why the fuck hasn't anyone reviewed you yet man? The talent in this is beyond comprehension. The plucked synth, the perfectly sidechained bass, the low pass background arp... God, everything is great! Composure is great.. And you fucking had me at the piano. And what was interesting was that you used what sounded like a half pad/half lead synth for that melody after the piano. It was so beautiful.

I really think we should do something together. I think with both of our composing techniques, we can really make something incredible.

Take care,
Nate

Blizzaine responds:

Thanks man :)

My aim is bfps1 if you wanna do something.

And yea, that porta half lead half pad is my favorite part on the original.

Wow

Absolutley phenomenal. Is your DAW FL Studio? We need to make a killer track together my friend.

Fxuem responds:

Yeah, I base everything I make mainly on FL.
I would say we give it a whack :O

Crazy good

So good, so proffessional. Mastering is phenomenal. Selection of samples was amazing. Bass was a little generic but still used and arranged like a fucking champ. Great job! Only thing you need to worry about is the illegal use of his song's samples.

Awesome!

Very cool bass sound you got in here. Mastered very well (except for the vocals). Excellent use of percussion and sidechaining. Only complaint is, like I said above.. vocals a bit to loud in the intro. What I DO enjoy however is that awesome droning bassline. God, that is AWESOME. So chill. Ah, and the pads are phenomenal. This song sounds very pro.

Take it easy and keep making them tunes,

Nate

P.S

I LOOOOVED it when I heard that snare roll, and towards the end, you added a flanger or a chorus and made it sound sweeeeet. That's great and I may steal that idea from you myself ;)

Nice

The mastering is just phenomenal. The sidechaining is so smooth and soothing. Such a great track, can't wait to hear more.

Prodigal responds:

Ohai nate. Thanks for the review, I'll be finishing this after some other WiPs.

Good

I really like this. I agree with some below me, intro is a tad bit dragging, but in no way bad. Love at 2:24 when you have that sub-bass clear. Great ending as well

Meonly70 responds:

Hey, thanks a bunch man. I'm really glad you liked the song. Thanks for the review Nate, means a lot. :)

Very good!

I need to start randomly choosing songs from the newly submitted list more often! Only complaint is that the ending melody is waaaay out of tune, but other than this, VERY well composed as the user down below me said

Kreepman responds:

omg. DJ Nate?! ILY.
You're pretty much the reason as to why I got into FL Studio in the first place!

As for the review: thanks a bunch!
The ending was my attempt at making a kind of "detuned fade out" thing but I failed at it as you can hear.

Thanks for the review <3

Nice

Haha, nice dude. Made this song foreeeever ago. And his name was Rave4Yourself (R4Y). Very good man!

I use FL Studio
