Good!

The music is great! The instruments are something you should change possibly. If you want a nice guitar VST, try Ministry of Rock by East West.

Overall, the song is quite enjoyable and if you keep at it, you will be a pro in no time.

Wow. Coming from you that this is quite an honor...
I will definitely check out that guitar VST, cause' I'm sure that you know your stuff when it comes to synths.

Thank you very much for the review I hope to create much in the future!

Excellent song

I absolutely loved it. Was a change of pace for you, as you normally have the 1/2 timing percussion. Then I loooved the dubstep section. This gave my woofer a beating! The synths were very diverse, loved the reverb and delay on them.

Only thing I can criticize is the Zeta+ preset =/ And the format bass(s) sound an awful lot like your Iron God remix song. Although that definitely isn't a bad thing ;)

Thanks for the honest review Nate! This is a change-of-pace for me, back to more of my roots I think (except for the dubstep of course! =D). The only thing I have to say though is that that definitely is NOT a Zeta+ preset; I made all of the sounds in here entirely from scratch. That's crazy that Zeta+ has a sound that sounds almost exactly like that lol...although it wasn't that hard to make at all (I can easily prove it to you too ;) ). And yes, that formant is pretty much the same one from Iron God...I jacked it from there because it was so deep and rich-sounding, and is easily the most powerful-sounding formant I've ever made. ;) Thanks again man, glad you liked it! =)

Its very relaxing. I like the percussion, although changing it up a bit wouldn't be a bad idea :) Great job, keep making tunes.

xenisc responds:

youve got a point. ill fix that with my next song. thanx for the review :)

I agree with the person who mentioned the different rates of the wobbles. Very nice to listen to.

Something to keep in mind when making music: you don't have to follow the genre's "rules" when producing it. Those wobbles are EXACTLY what dubstep should sound like.. And that's actually not a good thing (most of the time at least). Try to separate yourself from the soup of generic sounds and create something that stands out from the crowd.

Overall, good song, very professional. Just try to diversify yourself a little more.

Thanks!, i really wanna vip this so your advice really helped.

I like the feel of this. Its repetitive and quite enjoyable and something I could totally see in a madness flash.

treyhaur responds:

Thanks man, now if only I could get someone to use it.

Thanks for reviewing!

Incredible

I absolutely love all your work, it's so unique. I prefer your audio page over Pandora's dubstep playlist. The gritty bassline in the intro was fantastic. So crisp, with so much low end. That piano was well incorporated, and the arp in the background went very well with your wobble synth. I'd love to work on a project together.

Thansk a bunch Nate! Answer your emails! >=P

Interesting scale

Initially, it sounds like you were hitting the wrong notes. I was clearly wrong, and it gives it a very unique and diverse sound. It almost sounds like something Nobuo Uematsu, the music producer for the Final Fantasy series, would make. And that's a damn good comparison in my book :)

Breed responds:

Thanks Nate, that's an awesome comparison! I actually ran into some dissonance within the harmony. What happened is I stuck strictly to a harmonic minor scale, which introduces accompaniment & lead harmony trouble with that raised 7th. At first I heard the dissonance and thought ewww I better just change the 7th, but the more I listened to it, the more I kinda liked it, so I ended up keeping it. I guess I had temp love as they call it, haha. Thanks for the review!

Cheers!

Excellent

Why the fuck hasn't anyone reviewed you yet man? The talent in this is beyond comprehension. The plucked synth, the perfectly sidechained bass, the low pass background arp... God, everything is great! Composure is great.. And you fucking had me at the piano. And what was interesting was that you used what sounded like a half pad/half lead synth for that melody after the piano. It was so beautiful.

I really think we should do something together. I think with both of our composing techniques, we can really make something incredible.

Take care,
Nate

Blizzaine responds:

Thanks man :)

My aim is bfps1 if you wanna do something.

And yea, that porta half lead half pad is my favorite part on the original.

Wow

Absolutley phenomenal. Is your DAW FL Studio? We need to make a killer track together my friend.
