Not bad Ian. I don't really like how the main lead is kinda sidechained.. But then again, my leads are always too loud.
Peace and love.
Author's Response:
sidechaining gives a lot of rhythm to the track, as well as tightening up the mix... I don't usually like drowning out the other elements, (since it is constantly playing without gaps) so I duck the lead to really bring out those overtones in the bass and accent the hats given that both the lead and the hi hats are in the same general frequency range. who knows though, could sound bad to a lot of people haha ;P
thanks for the review, anyway :)

A very worthy song for this competition! What kick drum is that, if you don't mind me asking?
Author's Response:
Vintage and Dance sample for snare, Kick was Dance and The start up samples (Club basics). All of these samples I believe are provided in most if not all the versions. I started from the Club basic setting lol.

Very catchy tune and I'm a huge fan of hardstyle. Extremley good. Only critisism I have is that the kick overpowers the lead synth a little to much. Maybe tone down that kick just a little.
If you don't mind me asking, how did you make/find that kick?
Author's Response:
OMG! dj-Nate! :D
its an honor to get a review from you!
well, i'll turn the kick down a little bit, and my friend sent me the kick, and then i added fx to it, (bass boost, fruity fast dist,eq, etc..)
P.S. my friend that sent it to me's account on here is "Triplestar"
Thanks!!

Nice hardstyle.. style song, lol. A bit repetitive but thats what this genre is about though, so no points taken for that. But if I were you, I'd put this in the techno genre instead of trance.. But that's just me.
Good job,
Nate
Author's Response:
OMG, a review by DJ-N himself! WOOT! Thanks a lot, man!
I never know where to put my Hardstyle songs, but I always end up putting 'em in Trance, as it is consider a Trance sub-genre

Did you seriously make this? Where did you get the vocals? And wouldn't this fit more appropriately under the misc. or vocal genre?
If you actually made this, bravo my friend. Superbly made. Very relaxing.
Author's Response:
yup, i made it myself ^^
and the vocals are from a friend.
why its under dance?
dance is trance with vocals

I really like this song. A lot. How did you go about making the intro synth? Sounds like an intense chorus/phaser mix, along with a freq. cutoff. What VSTi was this made in if you don't mind me asking?
Again, awesome song. Just submitted a song pretty evil, dedicated to this.
See ya,
Nate
Author's Response:
thanks :D ive been listening to some of your tracks now and then, i think what youre doing is really pro. i like alot of your work! :D well, on to the questions, the vst i used for the synth was actually the Sytrus. i diddnt do alot with it, cause i wanted it to have that raw feeling. so all i did of mixing was to add a free filter and a buzz adapter. i also added a deep bass and joned the two synths. to make it slide like it does, i did it the old school way, started recording and draged the mouse over the cutoffs. ;P i know i could have done this otherwise, but i wanted it to be variated in a non-linear way. i currently only have fruityloops 5, so i am limited compared to the FL7. but i do get by ;) thanks for reviewing!

Did you get a MIDI of this off of the Nonstop2k site? Cuz I JUST submitted a Crying Soul MIDI to that site, lol. If so, whatever, you remixed it, I just thought it was kinda ironic.
Good remix though, so keep at it.
Author's Response:
:O HA that is ironic xD and no i didnt use a midi LOL!
